RIM’s designed this new BlackBerry 10 operating system popularly known as QNX and BBX. The BlackBerry London announced last year, supposed to be the first BlackBerry 10 smartphone will launch in November this year.

According to the reports Samsung has planned to launch smartphones this year by merging its own Bada OS with Linux based Tizen. This new MeeGo successor developed by Samsung, Intel and some MeeGo developers is expected to land next month in Barcelona at the upcoming Mobile World Congress.

In the Consumer Electronic Show Asus has confirmed that it’ll not be releasing a Tegra 3 powered 7-inch tablet in the UK.

John Swatton, marketing manager of Asus said,”In the UK we don’t see demand of the 7-inch tablet at the moment and we are focusing on releasing a Padfone, which is a tablet and smartphone hybrid. It will be formally announced in Mobile World Congress (MWC) next month.

Asus revealed that Padfone will come in two parts; it’ll get smartphone runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that can be fixed at the back of 10-inch tablet and its content can be seen on it. They also confirmed that much awaited Transformer Prime Hybrid device will start selling in UK at the last of January.

With brand new Xperia S and Xperia ion, Sony has unveiled two more Android smartphones, the Sony Xperia NX SO-02D and Xperia acro HD SO-03D. These are the phones based on Xperia S design with additional features added to the line.

The Xperia acro HD is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread-running smartphone with Near Field Communication features. Both the phones sports 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 12 megapixel camera with Sony’s Exmor R sensor and 1280*720 HD resolution display.

The Xperia NX will be available in only black and white colors while Xperia acro HD supposed to come in different colors like Black, Ceramic White, Aqua Blue and Sakura Pink. Both the smartphones are expected to launch in the first half of this year.
